Creating Year-Round Comfort in The Lancaster Room
DJB Electrical Services Ltd was recently commissioned to install a new air conditioning and heating system in the Lancaster Room at The Gallow Sports Centre in Fakenham, Norfolk.
The Lancaster Room is a large, versatile space used throughout the year for a wide range of activities and events which include:
- Exercise and fitness classes
- Weddings and wedding receptions
- Parties and celebrations
- Wakes and functions
- Community activities
- Private events
- Other meetings and gatherings
With the room accommodating so many different activities, maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature is an important part of providing a suitable environment for visitors.
The new system provides the room with heating and cooling capabilities, helping The Gallow maintain a more comfortable temperature throughout the year, whatever the conditions are outside.

A Flexible Heating and Cooling Solution
When installing air conditioning in a large multi-purpose room, having a system capable of responding to changing occupancy and seasonal temperatures is particularly important. The installation provides a modern heating and cooling solution while allowing the Lancaster Room to retain its open, spacious layout and views across Fakenham Racecourse.
Air Conditioning Installation for a Commercial Venue
Commercial spaces such as sports centres, function rooms and event venues can have very different heating and cooling requirements from a typical domestic property.
Large rooms can experience significant changes in temperature depending on the number of people using the space, the activity taking place and the weather outside. A suitable commercial air conditioning and heating system can help create a more consistent and comfortable environment for customers, staff and visitors.
Designed for Year-Round Use
One of the key advantages of modern air conditioning systems is their ability to provide both heating and cooling from the same system.
This year-round functionality makes the installation particularly well suited to a busy venue such as The Gallow, where the Lancaster Room needs to remain comfortable regardless of the season.
